Chris Lauritzen
Bio: Chris was born in Antioch, CA and moved to Santa Rosa in 1963. Chris graduated from Montgomery High School in 1969. Chris moved back to Antioch, now Oakley where he co-owns Lauritzen Yacht Harbor with his sister Margaret. They are the third generation in the marina business and their harbor will turn 64 years old next year.

Educational Background: Chris graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College in 1973 with an Associates of Arts in Business. Chris has a life time of classes related to marina business as well as the maritime field in keeping up or upgrading his merchant mariner credential. Chris also holds a 500 ton master credential for near coastal and inland waters.
Career History: Chris has worked in the marina business and the maritime field for the past 55 years. He started working on his fathers towboats in 1967 as a deckhand. He received his first credential in 1972 as an Inland Towboat Operator. Since that time he has upgraded his license many times. Chris was a reserve in the Riverview Fire Protection District (cities of Pittsburg and Antioch combined) from 1973-1976. Chris was also a reserve Deputy Sheriff for Contra Costa County from 1984-2011 working both the street and the marine patrol unit working in the delta and the San Francisco Bay.
