Educational Background: Cyndi holds certifications for Company Officer, Chief Officer, Public Information Officer, and Fire Investigator. She also has completed the Fire Marshal track through State Fire Training and the Santa Rosa Junior College and is a Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention Specialists.
Career History: Cyndi grew submersed in a fire service family in the Santa Cruz Mountains and started her career as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Felton Fire Protection District in 1996 while attending the fire academy. In 2001, Cyndi relocated to Sonoma County where she was hired as an Engineer/Firefighter with Rincon Valley Fire Protection District. Proudly, she became the District's first female professional firefighter and had the pleasure of joining a great organization. In 2009, Cyndi moved into Fire Prevention, doing fire investigations, fire inspections and taking on the role as Public Information Officer. In 2019, Cyndi promoted to Division Chief - Fire Marshal with the newly consolidated Sonoma County Fire District. In this role she has taken on the project of building out the Fire Prevention Division.
Cyndi is proud to serve with all SCFD brothers and sisters and takes her position as a leader in the organization and community very serious. We are trusted by the public to care for the well being of the community and its citizens and she works hard every day to earn and keep that trust.
