Lou Stoerzinger
Bio: Lou was born and raised in Arlington, VT and is the oldest of five children. Lou spent a lot of time hunting and fishing in teh Green Mountain State and lived close to several large ski areas where his family loved to spend time in the winter. In 1999, Lou joined the United States Coast Guard and was stationed in Portsmouth, VA, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Petaluma, CA. before seperating from active duty in 2009. Lou met his wife, Lori, in Petaluma while on active duty and they have two daughters and one granddaughter.

Educational Background: Lou graduated from Arlington Memorial High School in 1996 and completed most of his secondary education at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Lou has obtained his fire certifications through the level of Company Officer and is working on completing his Chief Officer certification.
Career History: Lou began his fire service career in 1997 as a Volunteer Firefighter in Arlington, VT with the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department. Lou graduated from the fire academy that year and remained with AFD until he joined the US Coast Guard in 1999. Lou received training in shipboard firefighting and damage control while in the Coast Guard and in 2006 while stationed in Petaluma, CA he once again began volunteering as a Firefighter with teh Two Rock Volunteer Fire Department. In 2009 Lou seperated from active duty and began testing for firefighting jobs and was hired as a part-time Firefighter with Bodega Bay Fire Protection District. He was hired full-time the following year as a Firefighter/EMT and in 2016 was promoted to the rank of Captain. Lou remained with Bodega Bay Fire until the merger with Sonoma County Fire District in July 2022 and remains a Captain with Sonoma County Fire District.
