Varian Etemovic-Bartolini
Bio: Varian was born and raised in rural West Marin and his interest in the fire service began at a young age when he decided he wanted to pursue a career in emergency medicine. Varian began volunteering with the Inverness Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 16 and after graduating highschool he earned his EMT certification through the College of Marin and was subsequently hired as a seasonal firefigher with the Bolinas Fire Protection District. After working a season as a Firefighter, Varian moved to the town of Montague in rural Siskiyou County where he was a resident Firefighter with the Montague Fire Department. Varian attended the firefighter academy at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA. After completing the fire academy, Varian moved back to Marin where he worked as a Fire Apparatus Operator for the Stinson Beach Fire Protection District. Varian attended the paramedic academy at the Santa Rosa Junior College and completed his intership at Sonoma Valley Fire District. In May 2022, Varian was hired with Sonoma County Fire District as a Firefighter/Paramedic and has enjoyed every moment spent serving the diverse communities of Sonoma County. In his free time Varian enjoys surfing and riding his mountain bike.
